# Activities: show what you do

Turn your sustainability work into public activities with SDGs and impacts – and reuse them as evidence on your ESG disclosures.

An activity is one real thing your company did for sustainability – a tree-planting day, a new recycling line, a mentoring program – described once, with dates, SDGs, measurable impacts and photos. SmartHead shows it on your public profile, lets you attach it to the ESG disclosure it supports, and counts it towards the SmartHead rankings. One entry, three places it pays off.

## Where to find it

Dashboard › **Activities** card – it shows how many activities you have and the latest three. **See all** opens the activity list; **+ Add activity** starts a new one.

Only administrators of the profile see the Activities card and the list. Reporters, auditors and viewers work with activities where they meet them: on the disclosure page and on the public profile.

## What an activity is made of

## The seven activity types

| **Community & Society**           | Volunteering, donations, local projects                         |
| **Employees**                     | Well-being, training, diversity and inclusion                   |
| **Human rights**                  | Policies, audits, supplier codes of conduct                     |
| **Products & Services**           | Sustainable products, packaging, circular design                |
| **Governance & Leadership**       | Strategy, reporting, anti-corruption, certifications            |
| **Production & Supply chain**     | Supplier screening, local sourcing, logistics                   |

Pick the type first – it decides which **Impacts** you can add.

## Where activities pay off

### On your public profile

Every published activity appears on the **Activities** tab of your public profile and in the newsfeed of your followers. The **Overview** tab sums them up as a bar of activity types, SDGs supported and impacts achieved. See [Your public profile and newsfeed](/activities-public-profile/public-profile.md).

### On an ESG disclosure

At the bottom of every disclosure page there is **Assigned Activities** › **+ Assign activity**. Attach the activity that supports the data – the energy audit under E1, the volunteering day under S3 – and your report gains a story behind the number. ### In the SmartHead rankings

Published activities, impacts, SDGs and commitments earn points in the public **Companies that care** ranking; a profile with three activities takes part.

TO CHECK: whether activities assigned to a disclosure are visible to the public anywhere today (Q7) – the code has a public ESG view, but we found no live page for ESRS, VSME or Revised ESRS data.

## The activity list

| Control                               | What it does                                                                                                      |
| ------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **+ Add activity**                    | Opens **Create new activity**: blank or from a template.                                                          |
| **Filter**                            | Narrow the list by activity type, SDG or impact. The header reads "Activities are filtered" while a filter is on. |
| **Search**                            | Full-text search in names and descriptions.                                                                       |
| **Newest** / **Oldest** / **Popular** | Sort by date or by the number of Well Dones (the clapping hands under each card).                                 |
| Activity card                         | Click to open the public page; the pencil opens the editor.                                                       |

## Tips

* Give every activity at least one **Impact** with a number. Numbers are what the **Overview** tab, commitments and rankings add up – a description alone counts for less.
* Mark long-running programs as **Activity is currently ongoing** so they stay at the top of the **Only ongoing activities** filter on your profile.
* Write the activity once, in your primary language, then let SmartHead translate it: the language menu in the editor has **Auto-translate selected language**. See [Create an activity](/activities-public-profile/create-activity.md#write-it-in-more-languages).
* Stuck for ideas? Dashboard › **Be inspired** › **Other company activities** shows what other companies published, filtered by type, SDG and impact.
